[State Leader] Transfer a teacher/advisor to another chapter

State leaders can transfer a teacher/advisor from one chapter to another, within their state.

You must be able to find the individual in the Manage Chapter Leadership section with either an active or expired Role Status. You may not be able to locate the individual if his/her teacher/advisor role(s) was/were removed/expired before 9/1/2017.

Begin in the Roster System under Manage Chapter Leadership. Use Search to locate the teacher/advisor to be transferred.
  1. Verify the Teacher/Advisor Leader Type is selected – The default is Teacher/Advisor unless you only have Alumni responsibilities
  2. Click the to open the Chapter drop-down menu
  3. Select the teacher/advisor’s current Chapter
  4. Click Search

If your search does not produce the desired results, use the Advanced Search filters to narrow or expand your search parameters.

Transfer the Teacher/Advisor

With the teacher/advisor located, you can now transfer him/her to his/her new chapter.
  1. In the grid, select the Teacher/Advisor to be transferred
  2. In the Actions section, click the to open the Transfer to Chapter drop-down menu
  3. Select the teacher/advisor’s new Chapter
  4. Enter an Effective Date, if desired – The default is the current date
  5. Click Transfer Teacher(s)/Advisor(s)
  6. Click OK to approve the action

Watch for a green success message at the top of the screen.

The teacher/advisor’s role for his/her old chapter will expire on the selected Effective Date.

Using Search, you should be able to locate the teacher/advisor in his/her new chapter.
