How to complete the Health, Safety and Event Participation Waiver and Code of Conduct

All participants (or their parent/guardian) attending National FFA Events in person must have a digitally signed version of the Health, Safety and Event Participation Waiver and Code of Conduct for the National FFA event to attend. No printed waivers will be accepted.

All waivers must be signed by either the participant (if at least 18 years of age) or by the participant’s parent/guardian (if under 18 years old).

Completing the Health, Safety and Event Participation Waiver and Code of Conduct occurs within the event registration system. Each registered attendee entry must include a valid, unique email address to receive the digital waiver.

Once attendees are added, the registration system will send an email to the address associated with the attendee to request electronic waiver completion. The email includes a link to the waiver language and the electronic signature process.

Please make sure each waiver for your group is digitally signed by the legally responsible individual for the attendee.

Waiver signature process

The digital waiver is signed by typing the name of the individual signing the waiver and selecting the box affirming consent to the individual’s name in lieu of a written signature.

Once an attendee’s digital waiver is signed, a confirmation email is sent to the email associated with that attendee. The status of the digital waiver completion will also update in the Waiver Status Dashboard with the name of waiver signee, allowing advisors and other group leaders to track waiver status completion.

Individuals, parents or guardians may print a signed copy of the waiver for their records; the printed copy is not valid for event entry.
